Events Section

The Events section of the MediFellows app can be used for literally any occasion.

Whether it's a small group of fellows that want to create a get-together to discuss current developments within the industry, or an exhibition open to the community featuring the latest in available modern healthcare technology. This is where you can make it all happen!

Users:

The Events feature has been formatted via a live, industry calendar – laid out daily, weekly or monthly. The user can easily filter their search parameters to find events according to interest, location or time period.

Users can bookmark or respond to event pages to add to their personalized industry calendar - which helps you keep track of all events happening in future.

Event organisers:

With MediFellows you can create three different types of events: Public, Private and Community events.

Setting Up Events:

Not only are you able to create an entry to the calendar, but Medifellows offers a full-fledged event management tool to assist with information sharing and attendee engagement before, during and post the event!

Communities

With the overarching goal of better collaboration in mind, Communities provide a more formalised, digital setting for healthcare societies, associations, institutions, and other groups of common interests within the industry to connect within a secure, digital setting.

With MediFellows you can create three different types of communities:

Closed Communities:

When a community is closed, only those who have been invited to the community can see the content and information shared within it. An example of a closed community might be fellows who are working on a project together and want to communicate with one another more efficiently. By creating a closed community the team is given a private forum to share ideas on the project and post updates.

Still , all information is shared only with those within the community once it has been made closed. Others will still be able to see the community exists and who the members are, but they will not be able to see any posts or information within the closed community unless they are invited

Private Communities:

Even more private than the closed community is a ‘secret’ community. Only those that are invited to these communities are privy to their existence on the platform.

This community will not appear anywhere on your profile, and only those within the community can view other fellows of the Community, as well as what is posted.

Profile_Picture_01 Profile_Picture_02

Public Communities:

When a community is public, anyone can see who is in the community and what has been posted. Still, only members of the community have the ability to post within it. A public community is exactly what it sounds like: it's fully visible to everyone, and anyone can join without being approved.

All members' posts are fully visible to all other MediFellows users, so this type of community does not offer the sense of privacy and security that comes with the more restricted community types. However, it is the easiest community type for fellows to join and engage, and can therefore grow quickly.

Businesses

MediFellows offers a directory of Businesses from within the industry. The benefit of this is two-fold:

To users

Any registered user can create, list and showcase a business or service for free. This adds value to users who may be looking for a brand, product or service, as well as opens up an encrypted line of communication between the industry and the professional regarding product and other service related queries.

Company and product related information will only appear on one’s timeline, if you choose to follow that specific Business.
